The person that is appointed to execute the Will is often called a Personal Representative. This person is responsible for handling the deceased’s assets, paying any outstanding bills, collecting any money that is owed, and filing taxes. This person is also in charge of carrying out out the terms of the Will.
A Personal Representative can be removed. Examples of conduct that would merit such action include disregarding a Court Order, becoming incapable of discharging the duties of the office, or mismanaging the estate.
